About

I’m Angela Kublik. It’s nice to meet you.

I spent 20 years embedded in the community as a public librarian. From performing with puppets at story time to donning steel-toe boots for a tour of a under-construction library that I helped design, I’ve done it all.

While I loved helping library patrons find the perfect book to read, it was time for something new. So I spent two years working with Dymphny Dronyk at House of Blue Skies Consulting, doing an intense apprenticeship in community and stakeholder engagement. I helped organize and facilitate drop-in open houses that hundreds attended, and I did one-on-one interviews when confidentiality was crucial. I discovered that the listening, strategic planning, and community engagement skills I had honed during my time in libraries served me well, even as I learned new tools and best practices.

Now, I’m thrilled to return my focus to libraries, and I am excited to support the crucial work of libraries as a strategic planning consultant. I know firsthand how important having an effective strategic plan is – the Plan of Service I developed with the Fort Saskatchewan Public Library Board during my tenure as Library Director was a key tool that helped us successfully advocate for an expanded space, which transformed the 1980s 10,000 sq. ft. library to a modern 17,000 sq. ft. facility. I was proud to manage the entire project, from space needs assessment through public plebiscite, design, and construction to grand opening.

Interested in working with me? Send me an email – I’d love to hear about your project.
